TRIP TO IDDC

The Instrument Design Development and Facilities Centre (IDDC) was established at Ambala by Hartron with UNDP/UNIDO assistance to provide the assistance to Scientific Instrumentation Industry to upgrade and new design development of their products with latest technology in Optics, Opto-Electronics, Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical fields.

• IDDC has developed various precision optical components ,Optical /Electronics Subassemblies and assemblies for Binocular Sights, Rifle Sights, Tank’s Night Vision Devices and Laser Range Finders for different Defence Organizations i.e Deptt of Defence supplies, Ordnance factory, Opto- Electronics Factory, Instruments Research Development Establishment (IRDE),Terminal Ballast Research Laboratories etc..
• On the 15 feb 2016 the students of class 8c were taken to IDDC.We were given information about the technologies used there and later given a questionnaire regarding the same,which was considered as an FA Task…….
  

CARDS FOR PAKISTAN

To make new year a good time for everyone we got an opportunity to send new year cards to our friends in Pakistan.

MATKI DECORATION

                              ON NOVEMBER 5, 2015 A MATKI DECORATING COMPETITION WAS HELD. THE WINNERS WERE ANANYA,SARGUN,ISHITA SEHGAL.

INITIATIVES ON REPUBLIC DAY

AN ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION ON THE TOPIC NEW INITIATIVES ON REPUBLIC DAY WAS HELD ON THE 23TH OF JANUARY 2016 ON THE OCCASION  OF REPUBLIC DAY.

VALUE EDUCATION DAY

On the 12th of February the value education day celebrations and the prize distribution ceremony was held....their were songs,dances  and mimes and plays .The day ended with a blast of the prize distribution ....at last the fruits of our hard work showed .The winners were felicitated with a certificate and a trophy.

VIGILANCE WEEK

In order to promote transparency, probity and integrity in public life the Central Vigilance Commission decided that this year the Vigilance Awareness Week would be observed from 26th October to 31st October, 2015. The theme of observing Vigilance Awareness Week this year is ‘Preventive Vigilance as a tool of Good Governance’Poster making on ‘Transparency an anti-dote to corruption was held for class 8. Two girls of our class won in the same. 

SHAANDAR

ON 2ND NOVEMBER CLASS 8TH WAS TAKEN OUT TO WATCH SHAANDAAR AT DT MALL. IT WAS A FUN FILLED TRIP AND EVERYONE ENJOYED THOROUGHLY....THE MAIN MESSAGE OF THE MOVIE WAS TO LOVE YOURSELF THE WAY YOU ARE.......

SCIENCE EXHIBITION

On 14th and 15th December,2015 CARMEL CONVENT SCHOOL organized a science exhibition celebrating the year of light on the theme- Light, in which all the classes took part and showed their interest in science. On 14th, different schools came and saw the exhibition and gained a lot of knowledge about science. On 15th, the exhibition was open for parents to come and see the exhibits of some born scientists of our school. We were assigned the topic THE UNIVERSE which actually amazed the parents alot.

HAPPY STUDENTS DAY

On the birthday of our Late Former President APJ Abdul Kalam the school celebrated the students day as part of our celebrations we had several competitions in the school premises including one of the inter school competitions which was the debate competition. Our school bagged the second prize Strawberry Fields World School bagged the third prize and the Bhavan Vidyalya High School bagged the first prize. We also had Ma'am Varnika an Ex Carmelite a DJ by profession making our day enthusiasm by her awe inspiring words and the amazing  songs on which we could dance.

NO HEAT SWEET competition was also held for classes 8th , 9th and 10th. Many students from our class participated in the competition. Anshika and Anadi of our class bagged the 2nd prize in the following.........

WALKATHON

As part of the students week the CESA (Carmel Ex Student Association) members organised a walkathon to pay tribute to our Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam .It was organised on the 11th of October,that is , on Sunday. We all walked  from our school to Sukhna lake.The view in the morning was bewildering.
